According to his daughter Mr Poteat painted houses by day and then on whatever he could find by night. I have listed paintings on wood, canvas, burlap, corrugated cardboard, and artist board. In 1956 Mr Poteat, while serving in the US Army, was stationed in or around New York City. There is a pen sketch of Central Park in the pictures which is not included in this sale.
